Victoria is a mariner's paradise, according to online boating-experience marketplace Boat Booker, which recently named B.C.'s capital one of 2025's top-10 boating destinations in Canada.

"Located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is known for its calm waters, making it a top destination for boating," Boat Booker said in a news release. "Surrounded by the Salish Sea and coastal islands, it offers endless opportunities for exploration and adventure."

Victoria placed alongside Montreal, Ottawa, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Edmonton and Vancouver, and Boat Booker singled it out for its access to wildlife and top-tier fishing opportunities.

"From April to October, you91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™ll be able to comfortably sail the local waterways and get a view of the amazing sea life surrounding Victoria. You91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™ll often spot different types of whales, birds, porpoises and more," Boat Booker said on its website. "As in Vancouver, this part of British Columbia offers fantastic fishing, with delicious salmon being the main draw."
