A bad case of road rage turned violent on the streets of Vernon Thursday.
Two men were seen fighting on Alexis Park Drive Feb. 6 around 4:40 p.m.
"The incident is believed to be a road rage incident that escalated into a physical confrontation, resulting in one of the men allegedly assaulting the other," said media relations officer Const. Chris Terleski.
A video captured by a passerby on Facebook shows one man crouching with injuries while the other takes something out his truck and throws it into the distance.
Patrikas Samulevicius got to the scene in the middle of the fight.
"What I saw was the man in grey sweep the legs out from underneath the man in green. Then go into his truck and throw something far away (keys maybe, maybe phone?). Then he got back in his truck and sped off, while the man in green went to the sidewalk and was grovelling in pain on the ground."
Police have interviewed witnesses and are reviewing video footage that captured the event.
Minor injuries were reported and anyone who witnessed the event that has not yet spoken to police, is asked to contact Const. Drake of the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 and quote file #2025-1817.
