Peachland councillor Randy Brophey has again encouraged the developer of a property on Lipsett Avenue to talk with area residents about how a townhome project might affect them. 

During its July 16 meeting, council raised concerns over rooftop patios, building heights, and sight lines for a proposed development at 6137-6147 Lipsett Ave. Council also heard that the developer agreed to remove the rooftop patios, reduce the number of units from 42 to 34, and limit the height of buildings fronting Lipsett Ave. to 12 metres.  

During council91裸聊视频檚 Sept. 24 meeting, Brophey suggested once more that the developer speak with residents to explore if view corridors of Okanagan Lake can be retained.

Approximately four residences could be impacted by the project. At the July council meeting, Brophey and Coun. Dave Collins voted against third reading to rezone the property.

At the Sept. 24 meeting, Brophey voted with most of council to adopt rezoning from rural residential to multi-unit residential, allowing the project to move forward. Coun. Terry Condon voted against the motion.
