West Kelowna Warriors
The West Kelowna Warriors start the second half of their British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) season with a road trip tonight (Dec. 27).
They travel to Cranbrook to face the Bucks, having split their previous encounters with a 3-2 overtime win on Dec. 4 and a 9-0 defeat on Sept. 20.
Following tonight's game, the Warriors head to Alberta to take on the Brooks Bandits on Saturday (Dec. 28). West Kelowna has yet to find success against the Bandits, suffering 4-1 and 1-0 losses in their previous meetings. The Warriors enter this road swing with a recent record of one win in their last five games.
Currently in eighth place in the Interior Division with a 9-13-5-2-0 record and 25 points, the Warriors will look to improve their standings.
West Kelowna's next games include a visit to the Vernon Vipers on Jan. 3, followed by their first home game of 2025 against the Spruce Grove Saints at Royal LePage Place on Jan. 4.
Kelowna Rockets
The Kelowna Rockets return to action on Saturday night, facing the Kamloops Blazers at Prospera Place. This marks the first meeting between the two teams in the 2024-25 season. Puck drop is at 6:05 p.m. On Sunday (Dec. 29), the Rockets travel to Langley to take on the Vancouver Giants.
The Rockets are currently in eighth place in the Western Conference with 29 points and a 13-14-2-1 record.
Kelowna Chiefs
The KIJHL's Kelowna Chiefs will resume their season on Jan. 5 when they host the Revelstoke Grizzlies at Rutland Arena. The Chiefs currently sit in last place in the Bill Ohlhausen Division with a 9-16-0-3-0 record and 21 points.
