Highway 3A north of Keremeos at Stagecoach Road is now open to single lane alternating traffic after a crash closed the highway, according to DriveBC.

A bad accident closed Highway 3A near Olalla on Wednesday.

The crash took place around 2:30 p.m. DriveBC has confirmed the busy highway is closed in both directions, north of Keremeos at Stagecoach Road. Emergency crews are on scene and an assessment is in progress.

DriveBC has said the next update will be made available at 4:30 p.m.

There is a detour available through Highway 97, said DriveBC.

On Dec. 20, police were at a head-0n crash north of Keremeos on Highway 3A that sent four to hospital, three with life-threatening injuries.

The highway was closed for hours.
