Salmon Arm RCMP are pursuing charges related to recent incidents of shoplifting.
On Sunday, April 28, an employee at a store in the Mall at Piccadilly reported a shoplifter had stolen merchandise valued at $1,000. Video surveillance was provided and police were able to identify the suspect.
On Monday, April 29, RCMP received two more reports of shoplifting. One was from an employee at the Uptown Askew91裸聊视频檚 Foods. On Saturday, April 27, two women and one man had loaded two carts full of groceries. Askew91裸聊视频檚 said after distracting the cashiers, the man and one of the women got out the door with one of the carts without paying.
Const. Andrew Hodges said police were able to identify at least one suspect from video surveillance footage. For this and the April 28th incident, he said police are forwarding charges to the B.C. Prosecution Service for assessment.
The other incident on took place in the 1100 block of 10th Avenue SW. At 6:30 p.m. an employee reported a theft in progress involving two women stealing products from the business.

Hodges said one of the women was arrested, and subsequently released with a future court date to speak to the allegations. The file remains under further investigation.
