Tools were targeted in a pair of recent break and enters in Salmon Arm.

The first incident, reported to Salmon Arm RCMP on Jan. 15, occurred at a business in the 1000 block at 10th Avenue SW. Police were advised of an alarm at the business, and responding officers found a glass door had been smashed to gain entry.

Video surveillance footage from 12:30 a.m. showed two unknown male suspects enter the business, steal several Milwaukee tools and depart within 20 seconds, said Const. Andrew Hodges in a Jan. 25 media release.

Hodges asked anyone with information about this incident to contact Salmon Arm RCMP and refer to file 2024-259.

At 8 a.m. on Jan. 17, police received a report of a break and enter at a worksite on 10th Avenue NE. Hodges said a temporary door had been pried open and tools valued at $1,500 were stolen. RCMP forensic identification services responded. Again, Hodges asked that anyone with information that could benefit the ongoing investigation to contact the local detachment, for this incident referring to file 2024-297.
