Highway 1 near Salmon Arm is closed indefinitely as emergency crews respond to a crash.
Just after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, a traffic collision was reported approximately 1 kilometre east of the city between Canoe Beach Drive NE and Bernie Road. The Salmon Arm Fire Department, RCMP and an BC Emergency Health Services helicopter responded to the crash.
On its website, DriveBC said an assessment is in progress and the highway closed, with a detour available via Highway 97B and 97A. The next update will be at 7 p.m., after the most recent at 3:17 p.m.
