Kelowna RCMP respond to possible weapon on Casorso Road, 1 person arrested

Casorso Road was closed near the roundabout intersecting with Benvoulin Road for a short period of time on Tuesday morning due to a possible weapon in the area.

At 6:50 a.m. on Feb. 13, the Kelowna RCMP and Emergency Response Team (ERT) received a call for a possible weapon in the 3700 block of Casorso Road.

The stretch of road was closed briefly as crews quickly found and arrested one individual.

There is no concern for public safety and the RCMP are continuing their investigation.

The road has reopened.
