For the second straight year in a row housing assessment levels are slightly decreasing around the majority of the Okanagan.
The latest numbers available reflect the market value as of July 1, 2024.

In the Central Okanagan, both Kelowna and West Kelowna saw a -1 per cent difference over the last year, while Lake Country has -3 per cent. Peachland's number was only raised by $3,000, resulting in a less than one per cent change.
Both the North and South Okanagan had mixed results.
However, in the Southern Interior, which includes the Kootenay Columbia area, there was a $8 billion total assessment increase - $315 million up to $323 billion.
Of the 100 most valuable properties in the region, 68 are in Kelowna, 10 in West Kelowna, nine in Lake Country, four in Coldstream, two in both Summerland and Invermere, and one in Penticton, Peachland, Big White, Windermere, and Fernie.
The most valuable home in the Southern Interior is 12990 Pixton Road in Lake Country at $15,656,000.
