After five years in downtown Kelowna, a restaurant known for it91Ƶs variety of cocktails is shutting it91Ƶs doors for good.
Open since Canada day 2018, Jack91Ƶs on Bernard era is coming on Jan. 1.
91ƵDespite the hopes of remaining a staple in Kelowna91Ƶs food and beverage scene, the lack of government support for businesses affected by unforeseen events became the decisive factor,91Ƶ said owner Casey Greabeiel. 91ƵJack91Ƶs had a remarkable five-year run, but a series of challenges, culminating in the August fire, has led us to this difficult decision.91Ƶ
Greabeiel added that over a four-week span due to the Grouse Complex of wildfires in August, the restaurant lost more than $100,000 in revenue.
Despite losing Jack91Ƶs, the restaurant91Ƶs entire team will be transitioning to roles with other restaurants under the Unconventional Hospitality Group umbrella, which includes Pretty Not Bad, Salt & Brick, and Diner Deluxe.
91ƵWhile bidding farewell to Jack91Ƶs was a tough decision, we are excited about consolidating our efforts and resources into our other projects,91Ƶ said Greabeiel.
Jack91Ƶs on Bernard will have one final celebration on New Year91Ƶs Eve at 5 p.m. Jack91Ƶs final hurrah will have people dancing late into the night.
91ƵJack91Ƶs holds a special place in my heart, and I91Ƶm immensely proud of what we91Ƶve achieved.91Ƶ
