Shuswap residents will have an opportunity to get down to the legendary sounds of Motown.
On Saturday, March 8, the Celebrate Shuswap Society welcomes award-winning Vancouver singer Krystle Dos Santos and her Motown Get Down show to Song Sparrow Hall.
With three albums out, Dos Santos is known for her extraordinary rich and powerful voice, that is simultaneously elegant, bold and sensual. Dos Sanots' latest release, BLOOM/BURN, earned her a Western Canada Music Industry award for R&B Artist of the Year.
From singing with Stevie Wonder and Michel Bublé to theatre performances on stage throughout North America, Dos Santos brings her eclectic style, vocal prowess and magnetic charm to every performance she delivers," shared Celebrate Shuswap in a media release. "Her 2020 smashing, tour-de-force musical, Hey Viola! was a huge hit in 14 cities, including the Stratford Festival, Charlottetown Festival, Citadel Theatre, Gateway Theatre, Western Canada Theatre and many more."
Backed by a four-piece band, Dos Santos will bring an avalanche of sound to pack the dance floor at Song Sparrow, with music from The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Gladys Knight & the Pips and more!
Tickets for the March 8 show, available at celebrateshuswap.ca, are expected to sell quickly. Doors for the show open at 6:30 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7:30.
