So popular are North Okanagan Youth and Family Services Society's (NOYFSS) annual Compliment Cupakes, rolled out for Pink Shirt Day, NOYFSS board director Amanda Clarke hadn't even finished putting up the decorations outside the office when the first customers arrived.

First in line Wednesday, Feb. 26, shortly before 12 p.m., were the box-carrying Nilva Castillo and her coworker Sabine Delveaux. They were picking up quite a few baked delights for their colleagues at Community Futures North Okanagan.

NOYFSS has been adding compliments such as "You're Loved By Many" and "You Have An Amazing Smile" to the cupcakes for a number of years now. 

Pre-orders for the mouth-watering cakes sold out, as did the ones outside the office that were available by donation.

Proceeds from the cupcakes go to NOYFSS's kids programs, including anti-bullying.

The event was one of a number in Greater Vernon and the North Okanagan commemorating Pink Shirt Day, Feb. 26.
