What do Ukrainian dancers, Japanese Taiko drumming and Cree Hoop Dancing have in common? They are clearly at the heart of cultural expression, and they will also be part of the diverse experiences that will amaze and inspire the audience at KCR Community Resources 40th Anniversary Celebration. For the first time ever, KCR is hosting a gala dinner and we welcome the community to join us as to celebrate culture and to raise funds for the incredible programs that KCR offers to meet the community, family and individual needs.

The evening will also offer heart-warming, full-circle moments of impact shared by participants of KCR and an amazing international feast curated by Chef Neil Martens and his 19 Okanagan culinary team, with the support of Peter91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Your Independent Grocer. Delicious bites will include Tinga Chicken Tostada, Madras Curry, Beef Bourguignon, Israeli Couscous and Filipino Adobo.

As this is KCR91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s first major fundraising event, we are excited to share this event with community and assure you that through your attendance, sponsorship, or contributions, your involvement will help us provide vital services to those facing financial stress, hunger, isolation, and other challenges in our community. Every dollar raised will support KCR Community Resources essential services and programs, making a real difference to meet community, family and individual needs.

Kelowna Community Resources Society (dba KCR Community Resources) has been providing services to the Central Okanagan since 1983. With a participant-centred approach, and a values and equity-based lens, we offer programs through four core competency pillars: Immigrant Services, Employment Services, Community Services and Family & Adoption Services. Programs offered by KCR include the Crisis Line, the Family Hub, Refugee Resettlement and Newcomer Settlement. We also focus on supporting individuals facing barriers to sustainable employment, families and volunteers and non-profits and work collaboratively with other organizations to meet emergent community needs.
