BNA Brewing is expanding.

Located in the cultural district the tasting room and eatery is taking over the former Flashbacks building to increase the size of the establishment.

According to Terry Barton, the urban planning manager with the City of Kelowna, a bowling alley is on the agenda for the second floor of the building next door which will open up into the current BNA building.

This will give bowling enthusists great pleasure as the bowling alley will be the only one in the Kelowna downtown.

Patrons will be able to access the new second floor expansion through the top floor of BNA or a new entrance that is planed for the backside of the building.

On the first floor, arrangements are being made to host other commercial tenants similar to the Motovida store beside BNA.

Barton says an application for an increased liquor license capacity is also before the city.

There is currently no date of completion for the expansion, but renovations are underway.

As for beer lovers and bocce players news of the expansion should put smiles on their faces as their local pub brings more action to the downtown.

Calls to BNA for comment were not available at time of print.
